Heat Self Defense - San Diego - health, empowerment, awareness, strength, tactical defense

Heat Story

H.E.A.T. specializes in mental and physical self defense training for women and girls
and operates under four core principals; Health, Empowerment, Awareness, and Tactical Defense.
The company was founded by Jennifer Johnson, who believes that
these are key elements to women’s self defense.

Jennifer holds a criminal justice degree from
Sacramento State University and began her law enforcement
career as a police officer with the Sacramento Police Department.  She later transferred to the Carlsbad Police Department
in San Diego. During her career, she was continuously
trained in defensive tactics and had specific training
on crimes against women. This real world
knowledge and experience is integrated into all H.E.A.T.
self defense training. Jennifer also has
extensive knowledge in the use of personal
defense products, such as pepper spray and TASER.
This is also incorporated into H.E.A.T. training.

Jennifer is a certified self defense instructor for Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Systems.
RAD is recognized by police departments and universities nationwide as an exceptional
standard for self defense instruction.

Jennifer is an active member of the San Diego Domestic Violence Council and was appointed a Commissioner for the San Diego Commission on the Status of Women in 2009.
While the Council and the Commission address a variety of women’s topics, both focus on
domestic violence and sexual assault.

Jennifer’s passion is empowering women and giving them the tools they need to be confident,
powerful and self-reliant.  H.E.A.T. self defense focuses on bringing awareness to women
and encourages them to be their strongest both mentally and physically.  Whether you are running
errands or traveling in a foreign country, you will have an increased knowledge of how to carry yourself,
observe, communicate, and react so that you can stay safe and ultimately defend yourself.

Unfortunately, violence against women is a reality.
Fortunately, there is something YOU can do about it…

Be Safe and Protect Youself Today.
